We have continued to work on time in the last few weeks of term. The children have been playing lots of learning games and completing time tasks in SHM. In Literacy they wrote and illustrated some lovely Christmas picture books which we read to the children at First Adventures Nursery and our P1’s. The nursery were happy to see many familiar faces. On both occasions the class read well and were able to grab their interest with the wonderful illustrations and their reading style.
Anyone in the Church last week would see that we did a great job of supporting P1 in the singing of their nativity songs. We also had a lot of talented people audition for our talent show. The class party was lots of fun and we were able to put our country dancing skills to good use thanks to the excellent teachings of Mr Carswell.
We have thoroughly enjoyed re-enacting the Battle of Bannockburn this week and the efforts made in preparing weapons was worth the effort. Thank you for your support with this.
In maths we will be starting off the year with multiplication. I am looking forward to working with P5H and P6 on our School show next term. We will be attending a handball festival at the Academy and will have lots more to look forward to as we settle in to the new year.
I wish you all a happy Christmas and all the best for the year to come!
