Welcome back to the start of a new term at Low Port. I hope that you have all had a relaxing October break.

We had a very busy start to the year with our children taking part in Rugby Festivals, visits to Beecraigs, residential trips to Robinwood, visits to Ineos BP and much, much more. I am very proud of the way in which our children behave when they are representing the school on educational visits. They are a credit to their parents and should be proud of this.

At the end of last term I visited Ontario, Canada on an educational study visit with Learning and Teaching Scotland. I had a fantastic time and look forward to sharing my experiences with the children, parents and community groups over the coming year.

I look forward to working with all of the children and staff during the coming term, especially in the build up to Christmas.

A new school year begins

Welcome back everyone. We hope that you had a lovely, relaxing holiday and that you are glad to see your children back at school. A big welcome to our new Primary 1 children and their families. It was great to see all of our new and returning children on 19th August as they all looked well rested and very smart with their new uniforms on. We are looking forward to the year ahead with lots of exciting developments taking place in the school to enhance the children’s experience of school and learning.

We would like to thank you for your continued support of the school and look forward to working with all of your children this session.
